National Ambulance and Abu Dhabi Aviation Launch Abu Dhabi’s First Private Air Ambulance

Abu Dhabi, 1 October 2013: National Ambulance along with Abu Dhabi Aviation proudly launched the private Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) for the ADNOC Group of Companies yesterday at the Emirates Palace and at its Head Quarters in Abu Dhabi.

The private event was received by HH The Minister of The Interior together with Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi. Visiting dignitaries also included the CEO of the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and the ADMA-OPCO CEO. 

During the launch, the A6-MED helicopter and team were reviewed by the ADMA-OPCO VP of Logistics, CEO of ADCO and representatives of the HSE Community from the ADNOC Companies. The helicopter was later on display for National Ambulance staff and their families during an employee gathering held late afternoon. 

The National Ambulance HEMS division has been developed to provide rapid response medical treatment for the Oil and Gas sector through the provision of remote medical and clinical facilities. It will be operated by specially trained advanced paramedics working to internationally recognised Clinical Practice Guidelines which have been adopted by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD).
